David A. Weinberg, MD, FACS
Dr. Weinberg is an ophthalmologist with fellowship training in the subspecialties of oculofacial plastic surgery and neuro-ophthalmology. Dr. Weinberg’s practice encompasses all aspects of oculofacial plastic surgery, including that of the eyelid, the tear (lacrimal) duct, and the orbit. Cosmetic procedures offered include botulinum toxin (BOTOX®) and filler injections, blepharoplasty, and forehead and mid-face lifts.
After the completion of a six-year biomedical program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Albany Medical College, Dr. Weinberg obtained his residency training in ophthalmology at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. This was followed by fellowships in neuro-ophthalmology at Michigan State University and Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Weinberg then completed a fellowship program in oculofacial plastic surgery at the Jules Stein Eye Institute of UCLA in Los Angeles, California.
After finishing his training, Dr. Weinberg was chief of the ophthalmic plastic surgery and neuro-ophthalmology services and fellowship director at Fletcher Allen Health Care and the University of Vermont for ten years, prior to a recent two year associate professorship at the University of Utah.
Dr. Weinberg is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society and the American College of Surgeons. He has been President of the New England Oculoplastic Society since 1996.
