Torrie Garner, OD

Dr. Garner is a residency trained optometrist who provides comprehensive eye care. She has a special interest in the connection between eye health and overall wellbeing including diabetic eye disease, non surgical glaucoma, and dry eye disease. She also provides post operative cataract surgery care and treats many other eye diseases including red eyes, ocular allergies, eye infections, and iritis.  

Dr. Garner earned a bachelor’s degree in biology with summa cum laude, departmental, and university honors at Susquehanna University in her home state of Pennsylvania. During her undergraduate studies, she attended a 5 month semester abroad at James Cook University in Cairns, Australia studying indigenous culture and local ecosystems including The Great Barrier Reef. She then attended the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN, where she graduated as salutatorian of the class of 2020 and earned multiple awards and distinctions. During optometry school she traveled to Belmopan, Belize to provide no cost eye care to over 800 patients in partnership with the local Lions Club. She continued her training with a residency in low vision rehabilitation and ocular disease at The Eye Center in Memphis. She started her own primary eye care practice in Tennessee before joining The Medical Eye Center in August of 2025. She continues to be licensed in Tennessee as well as New Hampshire.  

When she’s not in the office, she enjoys traveling with her husband, watching Steelers football, trying new restaurants, and taking walks with her dog, Montana. She is a current member of the American Optometric Association and the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians.
